Press releases

Notifications

Get a notification on your phone or computer when the Ente publishes a new press release: news, the programme, any postponements. Tap it to open the release.

What you get

A notification when the Ente publishes a new press release about any of its festivals (Carnevale dei Bambini, Sagra della Pizza, Festa del Bignè), with its title and summary, in Italian, as issued by the Ente. Nothing when a release already out is corrected, and no advertising. The Ente may also publish a release without a notification.

On iPhone and iPad

Notifications only reach the site’s app, from iOS 16.4 onwards. To get it:

  1. Open the site in Safari and tap Share; if you don’t see it, tap ⋯ and then Share.
  2. Choose “Add to Home Screen” (if “Open as Web App” appears, leave it on).
  3. Open the site from its icon on the Home Screen.
  4. Tap “Turn on notifications” and allow notifications.

How to turn them off

With “Turn off notifications”, here or at the bottom of any page, on the phone or computer where you turned them on.

Or from your browser’s settings (often the icon to the left of the address) or, on iPhone and iPad, from Settings › Notifications › Carnevale. That is also where you allow them again if you blocked them.

Your data

Who handles it

Ente Carnevale dei Bambini Pro Loco di Orentano APS

To write: carnevaleorentano@gmail.com

Why

Only to send you notifications of new press releases from the Ente, and the one that confirms you turned them on.

On what basis

Your consent: you give it with “Turn on notifications” and your browser’s permission, and you can withdraw it whenever you like, as explained above.

What data

The technical address at which your browser receives notifications and two encryption keys made by the browser, with the language of the site you use and the dates they were turned on and last updated. No name, email or location.

Against abuse, each time your browser turns notifications on, updates them or turns them off, the site also notes the network address the request comes from: it is used only to count requests over the next 15 minutes; then it is deleted, within a day at the latest.

On your device, the site remembers the notifications you turned on, to keep them in step.

Who receives it

Notifications go through your browser’s delivery service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), which receives the technical address and the encrypted notification, never the plain text. These services may be outside the European Union. The site and its database are run for the Ente by its providers, Vercel (the site’s server) and Neon (the database): the notification data is kept in Frankfurt, in the European Union, but Vercel and Neon are US companies.

How long

Until you turn notifications off. If you remove them some other way (from the settings, by removing the app, by clearing your browser’s data), the data is deleted when the delivery service reports that the address is no longer valid.

Your rights

You can ask the Ente to see, correct or delete your data, or to restrict its use, by writing to the address above.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority: garanteprivacy.it.
